In the book Bloomability by Sharon Creech a girl named Domenica Santolina Doone has a big adventure. She has a sister named Stella, a brother named Crick and a mom and dad. Her dad moves the family a lot. They have lived in at least eight states. When the move on of the final times Stella gets married and has a baby. Also Crick got put in jail. So with all of this happening her mom helped her sister Aunt Sandy kidnap Dinnie. She took her to Switzerland. In Switzerland her uncle (Aunt Sandy’ husband) was the head master of the boarding school she attended. Her aunt was one of the teachers there. In this school she also met Guthrie, Lila, Belen and Keisuke her new friends. With her friends she went on ski and other kind of trips. Guthrie was always the one to make them stop. They stopped to get ice cream and to see waterfalls and to go on trails. One day Guthrie invited Dinnie to go on a trail called Percorso. This trail was a trail where you had to run. You ran and stopped at the rest stops. The rest stops told them to do things. Some of the things they did were climb ladders, go under and over in obstacle courses and other active things. On one of the trails stops there was a creek, she loves fishing and has finally found a place to fish.

I am reading the book Bloomability. So far Dinnie is in Switzerland. She has met Lila, Guthrie, Belen, Keisuke and Mari. They have all gotten acquainted. Dinnie has been “kidnapped”, well not really. That is just the term she uses. Her family is having troubles, so her mom gives Dinnie to her Aunt Sandy and her Uncle Max (Dinnie’s Aunt and Uncle not her moms). The three of them move to Switzerland. There she goes to a boarding school that her Uncle is the Headmaster of. Now Mr. Booner is taking them on their third or so ski trip. Guthrie wants Dinnie to ski with him, but since Lila is having a hard time she gets to be the leader. Now Dinnie isn’t a very good skier, and Lila chooses to go on the hardest run, so Dinnie has to skip this ski run. It was a good thing that Dinnie didn’t go on that run, because there was an avalanche. Guthrie and Lila were both hit by it, both went to the hospital and both lived. Lila’s mother was not happy about this so she took Lila out of the school. After that life was a lot quieter. They had graduation and said their good byes. Dinnie hoped that she would see them again, but knew the chance would be slim. So in a way the book had a happy ending and a sad one.
