Have you read any good books lately? I have, I read Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul 2. I think it is a good book because it teaches you lessons. One major lesson that most of its stories teaches you to be thankful for what you have. What I mean by stories is Chicken Soup is a book full of stories teenagers sent to the editors. In the book there are eight subjects. The first one is relationships, second friendship, third love and kindness, fourth tough stuff, fifth family, sixth lessons, seventh making a difference, eighth growing up. In the following paragraphs I will tell you about some of the stories.

One of my favorite stories so far was "Hero of the Hood." It was about a boy named Mike and his seven brothers and sisters. His mother was fifteen years old when he was born. His father was a drug dealer named Fonso. With Fonso Mikes mother, Cheryl, had three kids. One was Mike age four, another was Raf age four and Amber age one. The next husband Cheryl brought home was Marcel. Marcel was the husband that got Cheryl hooked on drugs. With Marcel they added three more babies to the family. One Christmas all the family of kids had for Christmas was a can of corn and a box of Mac and Cheese. Finally Mike and his brothers and sisters went and lived with their grand parents.

This was one of the lesson stories. It taught me that I should be very thankful for what I have. That I have a mom that does not smoke of do drugs. That I have a dad that does not smoke or do drugs. Also that I have a house, and a lot of food to eat. I am sure a lot of people have something that they take advantage of. I know I did, and then I read this book.
