Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone

 I am reading the book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. So far Harry has been invited to Hogwarts. He has been put on the Quidditch team. It started with Harry Potter being dropped off on the Dursleys front porch. Then eleven years later it was Dudley's birthday.

On Dudley's birthday they went to the zoo. At the zoo there was a cage with a snake. The snake was from Brazil. This was the part in the book where Harry learned he could talk to snakes. He was looking at it then he said I know how you feel being caged up in there all day with people tapping on the glass. Then the snake woke up. Next Harry and the snake were talking to each other. Then Dudley came over. Dudley was so happy the snake was moving. He tapped on the glass. After that the glass popped out. The snake had been let out into the zoo. As it was leaving it told Harry thank you.

A couple days later Harry got a letter. Uncle Vernon would not let him read it. The next day two letters came to the house. After a couple days hundreds of letters came. The Dursleys and Harry had to move away. They moved away to a little two-bedroom shack in the middle of a lake. That night a giant came to the shack. His name was Hagrid.

The letter was inviting Harry to Hogwarts. At Hogwarts Harry met Ron and Hermione. He was sorted in to the Gryffindor house. Gryffindor was one of the four houses they were sorted in when they were at Hogwarts. Your house was like your family. The other three houses were Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. The Gryffindor's took flying class with the Slytherin's. Malfoy was in the Slytherin house. Malfoy was a kid Harry personally did not like. Neville, another Gryffindor, has a remembrall which is a ball that turns red when you have forgotten something. In flying class he got hurt. When he went to the nurse's office Malfoy took his remembrall. Harry flew after him trying to get it. Professor McGonagall saw Harry on his broomstick. She told Wood, the captain of the Quidditch team, about Harry. Quidditch is a game where people fly around on broomsticks and one-person try's to catch a gold flying ball called the snitch. This was when Harry was put on the Quidditch team.

Harry Potter is a good book. It is very exciting and a fun way to use your imagination. I know a lot of people are reading or have read it. If you haven't I would suggest reading it.

I just finished reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. After Harry was on the Quidditch team a lot happened. Harry and his friends found out about the Sorcerers Stone. The Stone is a stone that makes you live forever. Voldemort wants the Stone. Voldemort is the person/wizard that tried to kill Harry. Harry made Voldemort loose some of his powers. He made Voldemort live on the back of other people's heads.

After Harry got on the Quidditch team Harry, Ron and Hermione went to see Hagrid. At Hagrid's house Harry looked at Hagrid's newspaper. It said that Gringotts had been robbed. Gringotts is the wizard bank. The vault that had been robbed was volt 713. That was the volt Hagrid had emptied that same day. This made Harry suspicious. What made Harry more suspicious was in the third floor corridor there was a three-headed dog. The dog was standing on a trap door. Then Harry and his friends found out about the Sorcerers Stone. They also found out that Nicolas Flamel made the Sorcerers Stone.

After Harry and his friends found out about the Sorcerers Stone strange things started to happen. One strange thing that happened was a troll was let in the dungeon. Another strange thing was Harry's broom was enchanted. What I mean is his broomstick went out of control. When these strange things happened Harry and his friends started to do some research. One night they figured out that the person was going to try to steel the Stone. That night Harry, Ron and Hermione went down to the three-headed dog. They knew how to get past the dog but didn't know what was they were in for.

After Harry and his friends got past the three-headed dog they landed in plants. Devil Snare is what it was called. Hermione told Ron and Harry to relax. That is how they got out of the Devils Snare. The next challenge was the flying challenge. Harry got up on a broomstick and flew around trying to catch a flying key. After that challenge was wizards chess. That was where they all played chess. At this point in the book Ron was sacrificed. So Harry and Hermione went to the next challenge. The next challenge was logic. Hermione went back to help Ron and Harry went on to face Voldemort. In the room with Voldemort Harry got the stone. Voldemort had to go find another body.

The book ended with Harry happily ever after. Well not really but pretty close. Dumbledore saved Harry. Ron and Hermione were fine. Harry went back to live with the Dursleys. He gets to spend a nice summer with Dudley.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

In the book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry has gotten a warning not come to Hogwarts. The warning was from Dobby the house elf. Dobby went into Harry's room and told him not to go. Then Harry said no so Dobby went down to the kitchen and dropped Harry's aunt's pudding. This got Harry in big trouble. Harry also found out that Dobby had been stopping Harry from getting his letters from his friends.

Later in the summer Ron, Fred, and George picked Harry up from his aunts and uncles house. When it was time to go to school through platform 9 ¾ Harry and Ron could not get onto the train. Sense this happened it occurred to Harry and Ron that they should use Mr. And Mrs. Wesley's flying car. When at last they reached Hogwarts, Harry and Ron were in very big trouble. Mrs. McGonagall said they should have sent a letter. After she said that, it made sense that that what they should have done. Harry and Ron, thankfully, did not get expelled. If they were to get in any trouble after this they would be expelled.

Wood wakened Harry up early in the year, early in the morning. Wood is Harry's Quidditch coach. The Gryffindors have the Quidditch field from five in the morning to sometime in the day. This means Harry has to get up really early in the morning to go to Quidditch practice. Harry Potter is a good series.

In the book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry, Ron and Hermione have experienced some weird experiences this school year. One strange thing that has happened is Harry heard some strange voices. The voices said Kill need to kill need blood. Another strange thing is Mr. Filthc's cat got petrified. A non muggle (non magic folks) born student also got petrified.

There was another strange thing that happened. When Snape and Lockhart had their wand assessment lesson that is when it started. Harry was paired up with Malfoy. Malfoy is Harry's worst enemy. Harry and Malfoy were chosen to do the demonstration for the class. When Harry and Malfoy got up to the platform Snape whispered something in to Malfoy's ear. The next thing Harry saw was a black snake come out of Malfoys wand. Harry did not thing, it was an instinct. Harry talked to the snake. He told the snake to leave Shimegus alone. When Harry said that to the snake that is what Harry heard. The rest of the class heard hiiiiiiiiiissssssssssssss hissssssssssssss.

After that incident Harry, Ron and Hermione turned into Crab and Goyle. When they did this they talked to Malfoy. They figured out that Malfoy was not the heir of Slytherin. This was a disappointment to Harry. At least they knew it was not Malfoy who opened the Chamber. That is where I stopped reading. I can't wait to finish the book.

In the last reading log Harry and Ron had just turned back into them selves. They were in Crab and Goyle's bodies. They were because they were trying to find out who the heir of Slytherin was. They had just found out Malfoy was not the heir.

The book Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Harry, Ron and Hermione have come across some strange things. Even another strange thing is a diary. This diary strangely appeared the year the Chamber of Secrets was opened. Harry came across this diary so he decided to read it. IT was very strange that the pages were blank. Then a few days after he found the diary he spilled his inkbottle all over it. The ink disappeared in to the diary. So Harry wrote in it. He soon figured out how to work it. He was pulled into it. He was in the time period he was in it was the last year the Chamber had been opened.

Hermione had figured out that Harry had been hearing the voices of a snake. After she found out this information she was petrified. She said that the snake was in the pipes. Harry and Ron knew where the chamber was now. As soon as they got a chance Harry and Ron went into moaning Merciless bathroom. There they found the entrance of the chamber. So Harry, Ron and Professor Lockhart went into it. Ron and Harry did get Ginny saved and the book ended happily ever after.

Harry Potter the Prisoner of Azkaban

In the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Harry's step aunt comes to visit. Harry hates aunt Marge. Aunt Marge hates Harry. She loves Dudley. Aunt Marge praises Dudley and brings him lots of presents. One night at dinner, she was making Harry so mad, that he accidentally blew her up. He didn't whisper any spells, he just looked at her. Soon after he left with all of his stuff. Harry was in the middle of London with a trunk full of magic, a wand and an owl.

He had an idea that he should go to the leaky caldron, but that was too far away. It was too far away. It was in fact hopeless. Next, he saw a big dog, he felt wheezy. Then, suddenly it disappeared. Harry just stuck out his wand. Then a buss came out of nowhere. It stopped right at Harry. Harry got on soon to relies it was the night bus. He got on, the people said it was 12 knops for a ride and 13 for a ride and coco. Harry was so amazed there was a night bus for wizards he gave them 13 knops. The next thing he knew was he was at the leaky cauldron. There he met Cornelius Fudge. He thought this was not going to be good. He thought he was going to be expelled. It was better than he thought. He just got a room and spent the night.

After he woke up he was a little nervous. That was where I left off in the last Lit Log. I am reading the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Now, Harry is in a room at the Leaky Cauldron. He has just been on the night bus. The night bus is a bus in the wizard's world that takes wizards places. This is a device that Harry is fascinated with. Harry has just run away from his blown up step Aunt Marge. When he arrived at the Leaky Cauldron he was confused why Cornelius Fudge was there. At first, he thought that he was going to get expelled for blowing up his aunt, but he didn't.

Instead of getting expelled, there was a problem. Cornelius Fudge was very concerned for Harry. The big thing was that Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban. Azkaban is a wizard jail. It has charms on it and it is very hard to escape from. Sirius Black is one of Voldemart's closest followers. Then the talk about that was over. Harry caught up with Ron when they both had rooms at the Leaky Cauldron. Harry, Ron and Hermione all got their new books and supplies from Dragon Alley. Finally they all were at Hogwarts, so far so good.

All in all I can't wait to finish this book. So far it is a very intense book. I hope you get a chance to read these great books, which give the reader a real thrill.
